Yeah he had some truly wonderful movies. He will live on through those. Still, shame to hear the news of his passing. :(

Oh, man - so sad. He was an amazing director with so many wonderful movies to his credit - esp Out of Africa, Three Days of the Condor etc etc
He was also a marvellous actor - especially in Woody Allen's (rather seasick-inducing) Husbands & Wives.

I know, he was the man. Tootsie was one of the first movies I watched as a kid that I laughed out loud at. And, when I went over to entertain the troops 2 years ago in Afghanistan, it was the only DVD I brought and watched on my computer every night before I fell asleep (only b/c I didn't have AB FAB DVDs), but either way, what a great movie and what a great director.
