I sat down with my family and watched Rosie Live tonight (as it was a family event) and have mixed feelings about it. I thought the show ended up being entertaining, but I got worried after watching the first 10 minutes. In fact, I was about to ask my mom to change the channel, when Conan showed up...that's when I decided to sit through the whole show.

Let's breakdown Rosie Live:

-Her opening sequence was way too long, and could have been funnier. Rosie is funny, so why didn't she put her foot down when they gave her Spanx jokes in the writing room? What made it worse is that she went through with them!!!!

-Her song with Liza was NOT bad. The doctors must have gotten Liza's dosage right!

-Who dressed Alec Baldwin? He looked like Chris Farley in Tommy Boy doing "Fat Guy In A Little Coat". Gross. Although, he did redeem himself when he threw the pie in Conan's face.

-Jane Krakowski was hilarious doing her giveaway number

-Clay Aiken's appearance was just plain cheese.

-The dancing twins and the Anti-Gravity Dancers were entertaining

-I thought Kathy Griffin's Nancy Grace was hilarious! She never broke character, which I loved.

-Ne-yo was typical, snore

-Alanis Morisette, um, what the hell was wrong with her face???? She looked great from afar, but up close it looked she slept on her face. I would be angry all the time if I looked like that too. Although her voice still sounds great.

-Gloria Estefan, and Rachel Ray???? I could have done without them.

I would rather see fewer acts and more time with each guest/act. As of now, I have no idea how the show did in ratings, but if they do go through with a series, they have to seriously consider tweaking the show. Better monologue, fewer guests, and less cheese.
