Sanjaya's Memoir

sanjaya memoir

My head was going to pop off yesterday when I found out about Sanjaya's EP, and now I'm officially typing headless because I just read that Sanjaya wrote a memoir! Yes...a memoir...titled, "Dancing to the Music in my Head" (just like his EP). The book is supposed to cover, "a recount of his audition and a week-by-week analysis of his appearances; advice he got from Diana Ross and Jennifer Lopez; the po-hawk; "J," the hunger-striking anti-fan; and Ashley Feri, the girl who couldn't stop crying."

I actually think the memoir will be interesting because he wrote it with Alan Goldsher, who authored books with Modest Mouse and Art Blakey, so it won't be 4 chapters dedicated to his hair. Looking back at Sanjaya, the guy is kind of like the Paris Hilton of American Idol. He had no talent, but somehow managed to make his way to the top. Marketing, marketing, marketing..it's kind of genius whether he meant it or not.
