Yesterday Heidi's mom told US Weekly that she thinks Spencer drugged Heidi so she'd marry him. Well, this morning Spencer called Ryan Seacrest's show to deny the accusations and said, "It was totally spur of the moment, if i had planned it I think I would've stepped up my ring game a little bit...I can't wait to prove her wrong and be married for the rest of our lives. I'm sure she's just hurt and reacting crazy because she wasn't there."
Here's the thing, I don't think that Heidi was drugged, that's absurd. I do think she's totally brainwashed, and they're all milking the wedding for their 16th minute of fame. The wedding was a set-up (I'm sure by Spencer) so they can get a spinoff and get back in the limelight. I mean how else would you explain The Hills producers being down in Mexico with them? And to address the Mom situation...I think Heidi's mom wants her 15 minutes now. What else does she have to do? Her kids are older and she's just hanging out now milking all the free press. They all deserve each other.

I don't think her mom is trying to soak up fame. I feel really bad for her. I think she realizes she isn't able to reach out to talk to Heidi through conventional means and this was the only approach left to her.
My family went through a similar situation a few years back when my sister was dating a very manipulative guy. Everyone could see it but her and of course he positioned it like they had this tortured love story, Romeo and Juliet all over again. He had my sister convinced we just didn't want her to be happy and successfully separated her from us for about 6 months.
Eventually she came to her senses and now she looks back on the time with horror.
It's really awful to see someone you love with someone who is just so poisonous for you. I think the Heidi/Spencer situation is actually almost frigthening. He has managed to manipulate her and isolate her and MTV has sort of aided and abetted the whole thing for ratings.
It's sad and I really feel for her poor family.

I guess your right Tink. Sorry about your family going thru the same thing. I have most def. had friends that have been in poisonous relationships, and they're blind to it when they're in it.
I just got mad that Heidi's mom went to US Weekly! It doesn't get more sensationalized than that! A more legit source would have been nice, like TVgasm. hahahahahahaha. But in all seriously, it was the US Weekly thing that threw me off.
Heidi is an idiot, and yeah, anything for good TV is in the network's mind. They don't care as it's not their life.

I suspect she went to USWeekly because that was the forum Heidi and Spencer used to inform their families and friends that they had tied the knot.
But I agree with you - people do not need to air their family feuds through the tabloids. Sadly, I think Spencer (and now Heidi) are of the mindset that it isn't worth doing if you don't have the press involved.
Didn't Warren Beatty have a line about a similar situation in Madonna's Truth or Dare?

I agree 100% with Tink.
Every time Toothy McDouche of the Facial Pubes opens his mouth, I want to hit him with a 2 by 4.
Somebody needs to slip something into Heidi and Spencer's drinks. Then take Heidi back to Colorado for an intervention and Spencer...? Who knows? Who cares? That is the question.
