The Spielberg comedy written by Diablo Cody, The United States of Tara, has been picked up by Showtime. Diablo Cody will executive produce the single camera comedy with sitcom veteran, Alexa Junge, who will serve as the showrunner and executive producer. The United States of Tara is about a wife/mother who suffers from multiple personality disorder and how her family deals with her many personalities. This is the first TV series that Spielberg has done in 13 years! They start shooting this summer. Finally, something original!

I hope they make one of Tara's personalities a stripper...I'm sure there is a lot of comedy to draw from..."so my Mom thinks she's a stripper, and dropped me off at school wearing no clothes and some clear heels. One time I forgot to take out the trash and my mom yelled, "someone's been a bad boy" and spanked herself." It was awkward, especially because I then asked her to help me with my Spelling homework."
