Well, they've met, they've looked eye to eye. And, they're being nice, but no one is stepping forward with any big revolutionary changes. I think that the studio knows they can play the writers for a couple of days so they're trying to get the writers to fold. But, I don't think they'll fold so quickly.
Most of the writers have already written off the rest of their year. If they settle before X-mas, they're not going to go back into production during the holidays and the Studios know that, so what's the big rush, right? Wrong!
The inside that I heard was that both parties should be done negotiating and settled within two weeks. So, clock is ticking, let's see who caves in first. I'm sure Michael Moore has already been documenting this whole thing.
