The Kite Runner
, the book that everyone's been talking about, is coming to the big screen November 2nd and here's your chance to host your own advanced screening or even win a dinner with the author, Khaled Hosseini!

The Kite Runner, directed by Marc Forster, is an amazing story about fathers and sons, friendship, betrayal and the journey that goes from Afghanistan's monarchy to the present day.

The Kite Runner official website is now up and running, but it's not your typical website. They're using tactics of blogging, creating groups and online marketing to get the word out. The best part about it is that you get a chance to win a dinner with the author, or have an advanced screening in your hometown. If you create a Kite Runner group, you become the captain of your group; the more people you have, you up your chances of winning prizes! Other prizes include: a trip to Los Angeles to attend the premier, autographed books, leather bookmarks, pins, etc...

For those of you who have not read this book yet, I highly recommend it. It's one of the best stories I've ever read, and it's a very true account of Afghanistan history of past and present day. Although I have not seen the movie yet, I am sure it will be a powerful one and something that will help us relate to the circumstances of Afghanistan and their current situation.

You can view the trailer on their official website (click on the title) The Kite Runner. Or for those of you who want to see the HD trailer you can view it on the Apple site (or click here): HD Apple Kite Runner

Go on fans, join a group on the website or create your own! For those of you who live in Los Angeles, I've started the TVgasm - Santa Monica group. Join in and let's win ourselves a screening!
