Michael Eisner is claiming the strike is over. The WGA may have stopped picketing, but it's not over yet. The WGA is drafting up a deal today. Then, they're going to email the members and post the language of the contract on the WGA.org website so the members can read it before the big Saturday meeting. The WGA West is meeting at the Shrine Auditorium, while the WGA East is meeting at the Crown Plaza for informal talks with the leadership, where the members can have an open forum to express concerns, and say what they want. Essentially, it will be an over opinionated and articulate "open mic".

Then, on Sunday, the WGA West/East will approve a tentative deal before it goes to a membership vote. Once everything is approved, the WGA leaders will call off the strike, and send out ballots for both branches of the WGA to vote on the contract. So, despite what Michael Eisner says, the strike is not over, until the fat writers (well, not all of them) have John Hancocked...and then, let there be scripted television.
