While I was out this past weekend:

• Ryan Seacrest got bit by a shark on his foot, but is okay now.

• Shia LaBeouf got in a drunk driving accident (and got a DUI). His publicist released this statement:
• "Attorneys for Mr. LaBeouf confirm that an automobile accident involving an additional party occurred early morning in Los Angeles on July 27, 2008. Shia is currently recovering from extensive hand surgery with plans to return to work on the set of Transformers 2 within one month. No further comment will be issued at this time.
• Here is video of his flipped car if anyone cares.

  It makes me angry that he would risk other's lives (including his own) to get in a car and drive drunk when he could have just jumped in a cab and avoided all of this. Hope he learned a lesson, but judging by his past it doesn't look like anything phases him at this point. After all, he's a big star now and that's what he thinks he's supposed to do. Gross.
