Will and Grace Has A Bad Case Of "The Friends"

starter wife

Poor Debra Messing! She killed it in ratings when The Starter Wife was a mini-series, but once it became an actual series USA just didn't get the numbers they'd hoped for...so they've officially pulled the plug. I think Will and Grace has been struck by the Friends curse. Think about it: Eric McCormack's series, Trust Me, isn't doing too hot, Sean Hayes just had a failed pilot last year, and now Debra Messing...I think the curse has officially set in.

I think they should all just focus on movies from here on out and leave TV with their dignity.

TinkerbellAPixie:

I really enjoyed The Starter Wife mini-series where they had her character find love with the cute homeless guy. Then in the first few minutes of the series they undid everything the mini accomplished and that irked me to no end.

But - I really do like Trust Me - I hope they give it a fair chance to find it's footing.

I enjoyed The Starter Wife only because I love me some Debra Messing. I think she saved it from being flat-out horrible. Well, her and Judy Davis. I also thought she was hilarious in The Women. Unfortunately, The Wedding Date was, shall we say, sucktastic.

She's a gorgeous, talented lady who will always land on her feet - she just needs the right vehicle. And I was sad when Megan's talk show was cancelled (you should youtube the vid of her and Debra Messing singing and dancing - it's so cute!), but I'm looking forward to her new one. Never saw Sean's show, but it seemed doomed from the get-go. I hope Eric's show gets a chance - he's the only one from Will & Grace I'm really worried about.
