Winona Ryder was rushed to the hospital today and later released after getting sick on a flight from L.A. to London. A rep. from British Airways said, "The captain of BA282, which was traveling from LA to Heathrow, requested a priority landing as a female passenger required medical attention. The passenger was taken to a local hospital for treatment. The plane touched down shortly before noon UK time."

Winona's spokesperson said she was only taken to the hospital for precautionary measures and then later released.

She could have just called the paps to announce her arrival instead of "falling ill" and rushing to the hospital. But hey, she's back in the news and healthy, so it wasn't such a bad move after all.
