Rosie O'Donnell, seen in her infamous Nip/Tuck episode from September, revealed on The View that she's been offered the female lead role on the racy FX series-- replacing Joely Richardson, who's gone on an extended leave because of her real-life child's medical condition.
Joely Richardson for Rosie O'Donnell. That sounds like a fair trade. No?
Rosie had a guest shot as "Dawn Budge" in this fourth season, and made news because her character paid Dr. Troy for a ten-minute sex-session, which she dramatized (see an extended version here-- if you must).
There was word she might get a spin-off series, but now producers apparently want her to play the owner of the plastic surgery center in the season that's set for next year (Season Four's finale is next Tuesday, December 12th).
Glenn Close on the Shield is one thing, but what's next? Lisa Lampanelli as the femme fatale on Rescue Me?

This season sucked so hard that hopefully adding Rosie will be the nail in the coffin.

Nip/Tuck is filmed in LA and The View is taped in NYC.
How would that work?
And more importantly, why am I worrying about Rosie's schedule?
