Is Project Runway confusing its Fergies?

We can't get away from those fat girls! This morning there's word that Fergie has been approached to be a judge on Project Runway. No, not that Fergie. The original Fergie. The one on the left. Sarah Ferguson. The Duchess of Pork. York.

Prince Andrew's randy 47-year-old ex-wife and former Weight Watchers poster girl with the plummy British accent had been in talks to appear as a contestant on Dancing with The Stars before producers nabbed Paul McCartney's controversial one-legged "charity campaigner" ex-wife, Heather Mills (a more current British tabloid scandal figure seeking a career in the States).

A source tells the London Mirror that Fergie is "very keen to do the show and is sounding very enthusiastic about it," which makes sense since sitting on her ass with a pencil and paper, watching skinny models walk by is a lot less strenuous than getting exercise and learning how to dance the paso doble. More bizarrely, the newspaper quotes a source as saying with a straight face:

"Sarah is a style icon here (in the States). The people behind Project Runway think she'd be perfect as a judge. They think she'll bring style, grace and elegance to the program."

Did the folks at Bravo get their Fergies mixed up?

(The fourth season of Runway 4 is set to film next month, but won't premiere until the fall or as late as December.

(The British version of Runway is called Project Catwalk and has been hosted by Liz Hurley and Kelly Osbourne.)

I don't care who judges, I just want it to start!

That's not true. If BEP-Fergie was a judge, the show would be sucky. She's a sucky person.
