She was 25.
Word comes from her hometown, Kansas City, where the The Pitch weekly remembers Frankie as "an angst-ridden Midwesterner fighting small-town inadequacies, a fear of large boats and relationship turmoil caused by too much merrymaking.
"But anyone who knew her after the cameras and editing rooms had done their work knew that Frankie's real personal growth happened after she reflected on how her public persona was received by the rest of America. Like most of us, she was still a work in progress: an art enthusiast, a talented singer, a jack of many trades and, as always, the life of the party."
San Diego was the fourteenth season of Real World. The seven castmember strangers lived in a blue, three-story former restaurant called The Blue Crab.
Frankie, known by the Real World fans as the punky former porn shop worker with cystic fibrosis, knew she'd have a shorter time on Earth than most of us. and that led to her to voice the opinion she was wasting her time on the show-- and leave before the season was through.
Travis in the Tabloid Baby office remembers her as "the pretty girl who was always crying over her boyfriend."
Do you remember Frankie?

She was my favorite from that season. Hopefully she was able to accomplish what she wanted to during her time.
Very sad

Such a shame. I was surprised, in reading all the articles I've found about this, that there was no mention of her boyfriend Dave anywhere. Whatever happened between the two of them?
I remember when her sister Mimi was on. She was the cutest kid. I feel bad for her - for her whole family.

how sad :(
she seemed like a really interesting and complex person and unlike a lot of the RW alums, she wasn't a fame whore.
hopefully she raised more awareness for cystic fibrosis by being on the show. i just wished that she wasn't a smoker. that probably didn't help her condition any. but i've been around people with terminal illnesses as part of my job and sometimes they do things that people with the option of longevity wouldn't do.
my thoughts are with her family and friends.
