Fast Cars & Superstars: Gillette Young Guns Celebrity Race gets the chequered flag on June 7 at 8 pm and races by in seven brief episodes.
Twelve celebrity drivers will train with the Gillette Young Guns stock car racing team and the series will conclude with an hour-long finale in which the celeb drivers will race each other.
And this is no D-list Dancing with The Stars "celebrity" line-up. Along with Gabby and Krista (the Emmanuelle in Space soft-core star made respectable by boyfriend George Clooney in one of his noblest gestures in HBO's Unscripted), all the racers are "superstars" in their own fields:
Jewel, William Shatner, Tony Hawk, rodeo rider Ty Murray, John Salley, John Elway, pro wrestler and The Marine star John Cena, Serena Williams, surfer Laird Hamilton and Superbowl-winning coach Bill Cowher (Jewel & Ty and Gabby & Laird are married couples).
ESPN's Kenny Mayne and former ESPN NASCAR analyst Brad Daugherty host.
