Poor everyone, because the reality series was produced by Simon Fuller, the genius behind American Idol, The Spice Girls, and Spice World, the Spice Girls movie that's on Tabloid Baby's list of the Top 50 movies of all time.
Poor NBC, who's looking for some numbers.
And poor E!, saddled with Katie & Peter, their imported reality series about a C-list (and double-D) couple that was to explained and forgiven by the Becks series.
While the British tabloids say Victoria "walked away" from the series, sources close to the NBC show are much more diplomatic and are in fact bending for Beckham, saying that she's simply so busy doing whatever it is she does that she's not showing up for half of the four- to five-week shooting schedule (which is supposed to be recording whatever it is she does). She was last seen "on holiday" in Marbella.
So if they're lucky, the aklready skimpy six-episode series may turn out to be a "special."
Sounds special.
