Donny Osmond gets Dream job

Donny Osmond is hot.

No, you're not reading TMZ. It's just that everybody seems to want him all of a sudden. The squeaky-clean former Mormon teen idol has been chosen to host The Great American Dream Vote, ABC's twist on the old Queen for A Day.

When last heard from, Donny had been named as host CBS' revival of another 1950s game show, Name That Tune. That was back in October. Tune, with a promise of a million dollar prize, is set to arrive later this year.

We can't wait to hear what NBC has to offer.

Dream Vote is on a fast track at ABC. Eight people will beg the studio audience to fulfill their greatest wish-- modern wishes like, breast implants or hair plugs. The studio audience will narrow down the field to two and then turn the decision over to the home viewers.

Through most of the Nineties, Donny kept up the cash flow by starring in musical theater productions of the Biblical musical, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (more than 2,000 performances). haddaya bet the "dreamcoat" makes an appearance on ABC?
