Rob & Amber to "revolutionize reality TV"?

robamber.jpgProfessional reality TV couple Rob Mariano and Amber Brkich didn't make it to compete in the finale of last night's The Amazing Race: All-Stars, but their pained smiles and polite applause for the winners were a highlight of the final scene.

And now they say they've got a reality TV series in store that will be the most spectacular ever: "bigger" than The Amazing Race (on which they lost twice) and even Survivor (where they met and he proposed moments before she won):

"Competition will last 100 days...

"On all seven continents...

"First prize is over $10 million."

Where do we sign up?

Rob tells the Bucks County, Pennsylvania Courier Times that a nationwide American Idolesque contestant search will begin in June, and that the series will premiere next spring.

The show, he promises, "will definitely revolutionize reality TV as we know it."

That's all he's saying. He didn't identify the network or producers.

Rob spoke about the show after he and Amber competed against two seventeen-year-olds in a game of musical chairs following the first inning of a minor league baseball game in Trenton, N.J.

Rob won the game, though the seventeen-year-old boy accused him of cheating.

UGH just make them go away!!!! I didn't watch the first half of Amazing Race this season b/c THEY were on it. And guess what... as soon as I heard that they had been eliminated, I started watching it.
They need to get the hint that the majority of reality tv viewing audience does not want to see them on anything anymore.

I was actually kind of upset when they were booted out of Amazing Race All-Stars. Even if I didn't necessarily like their attitudes toward other teams they were intriguing to watch. Despite the early exit this season, Rob is a strategy guru nonetheless.

Now, whether or not that will translate to an entertaining new reality series is another story.

I knew this was coming and proof is in the forums..... I really enjoy Rob and his antics to win.... and Amber... now that she has joined his gravitational force. And reality television needs a bit of a redo.. much of it has been getting stale...

That picture is ultra-creepy. He looks like The Joker from "Batman," and she just looks like a psycho.

I love Rob and Amber, they are so fun to watch on tv, I will watch anything they are on....
