Well, it's not quite as exciting as a dating show starring Kobe Bryant, but Kobe's former teammate and attention rival Shaquille O'Neal is dribbling into the reality game. The NBA superstar and possibly the fattest player in NBA history is now taping a weight-loss series for ABC.
Each hour-long episode follows the big man as he campaigns to help elementary and junior high school kids in lose weight.
Shaq will act as the Kazaam of dieting, interacting with the butterballs and encouraging them to keep with the program.
The show's being filmed in Broward County, Florida, near Miami, where Shaq toils as center for the Heat. They're shooting six episodes for a summer run. That's the same summer in which NBC plans a soccer-related reality series featuring Victoria Posh Spice Beckham-- if husband David's weekend injury doesn't blow his deal with the Los Angeles Galaxy and their move to the States.)
