Road Rules rolls to new night and time

MTV's Road Rules 2007: Viewers' Revenge moves this week to Wednesdays at 10:30 pm, following The Real World: Denver.

Fans of J-Unit's recaps know that this fourteenth season followed a three-year hiatus with an interactive twist. Six Road Rules veterans were sent off on an RV adventure to face the obstacles and challenges, but on a "real-time" schedule (every episode features action from the previous week), so viewers can control some of the action-- deciding who ends up in elimination rounds and who replaces the losers.

Road Rules was MTV's second reality series, spinning of from Real World and pioneering the whole reality travel-adventure-challenge-game genre. It seemed to have run its course after MTV didn't pick it up after its last season in 2004. But the show was never officially cancelled and came back with the new bells and whistles in January.
