We've gotta hand it to them: Saturday Night Live is becoming coffeemaker conversation again. First there was the Apocalypto trailer takeoff-- okay, so maybe they ripped it off from a web channel-- and then D*** in A Box. Now, with Jake Gyllenhaal's appearance as host last night, they've done it again.

It was his opening monologue (a part of the show that's often written by the guest host's own team of outside writers). We didn't say it was funny-- just guaranteed conversation over the next week.
