If you're like me, you don't bother recording SNL any more. What's the point? I usually just sit there with a frozen Milky Way in one hand and the remote firmly in the other. Do you know how hard it is to concentrate on a Milky Way when you're holding your finger down on the FF button? Well, it's hard. Anyway, this election season has given the show some great material. I know this because I watch the clips on Sunday on YouTube or Breitbart or whatever. They filter through the crap for me. The Thursday Updates I have watched, and they have been pretty solid. So this week I decided to stop being such a grouch and record the show again. The first five minutes killed me, and then I juggled the Milky Way and the remote through the rest. Ah well, it's better than nothing!
The Palin and McCain clip hawking their agenda on QVC is worth watching, so catch it after the jump! Also, since it's a slow weekend and I got nothin but love for ya, I've included this weekend's prank call to Palin. If you haven't heard it, settle in and don't drink anything while you listen.
QVC
Palin Prank Call
And for my political endorsement? Say what you want about Sarah Palin, but SNL is gonna be boring as hell without her. Are you really gonna vote for four years of crappy Obama impressions? Entertainment first, people. This message has been brought to you by Flipit.
I know we don't talk politics here often, as we want to stay friends, but do you think McCain has a chance in hell? If you wanna sling some mud, do it now! Election Day is around the corner!

Flip, you are NOT kidding about SNL. I can't figure out whether it's pitifully bad this season, or if the events have conspired to make me watch it more, and I'm just noticing what was always pitifully bad. People are saying MadTV's skit about Condoleeza was hysterical.

I sat with THeHUbby and watched SNL and the QVC bit was great. The rest of the show I kept turning to him saying... this isn't funny.. to include the Weekend Update.
It was soooo bad I was embarassed for the comedians. The writing is crap, total crap.
Olberman Countdown---crap
German Coat Store---crap
The View bit---crap, although Kenan as Whoppie was a crack up.
And even though I love Kristen Wiig her Target character must go....
the few bright shining moment besides the political stuff was Kenan Thompson in "Grady Wilson's Put the Fire Back"
Ahh do I sound like a commercial.. didn't mean too, just to say here in print, the show sucks right now with many two good sketchs aa week.
And I really liked David Cook 'in the day' but if his whole freaking CD is screaming... he ain't selling it around here.
