The two-and-a-half minute clip is a video montage to "Guy Love," a Broadway-style duet sung by Zach Braff and Donald Faison about the "unique friendship" between their characters JD and Turk.
A sample of the lyrics exposes everything we've suspected about those guys:
JD: Let's face the facts about me and you
A love unspecified
Though I'm proud to call you 'Chocolate Bear'
The crowd will always talk and stare...
Turk: I feel exactly those feelings too, and that's why I keep them inside.
Cause this Bear can't bear the world's disdain
And sometimes its easier to hide than explain...
Together:
Our guy love
That's all it is
Guy love
He's mine, I'm his
There's nothing gay about it in our eyes.
You ask me about this thing we share--
And he tenderly replies,
'It's guy love between two guys...'
Turk: "Closer than the average man and wife!"
JD: "That's why our matching bracelets say 'Turk & JD'"
Turk: "You know I'll stick by you for the rest of my life!"
JD: "You're the only man who's ever been inside of me-e-e-e!!!"
Turk (stops singing): "Whoa, whoa, I just took out his appendix..."
It carries on from there...
The Scrubs musical episode is written by the Tony-winning composers of Broadway's (and briefly Las Vegas') risqué full-frontal puppet show Avenue Q. Original (human) Q cast member Stephanie D'Abruzzo guest stars as a patient who complains of hearing incessant music. Then the hospital is turned into a stage and everyone makes music incessantly.
The episode is scheduled to air on January 18. You can download the video for free through the end of February. And don't forget the TiVo.
