Seinfeld: The Lost Episode

seinfeld.jpg

Is anyone out there old enough to remember when National Lampoon was the influential humour magazine-- bigger than The Daily Show, more influential than Dave Chappelle-- when it was the hippest, funniest, most important laugh factory since Mad? Here's a clue: it back before Animal House. But after all these years and the Vacation and Van Wilder movies, the Lampoon is back, and they're online with the best take yet on the Michael Richards racist rant. It's actually funnier than Richards' meltdown itself!

See Seinfeld: The Lost Episode, after the jump:

Click here to see the (NSFW) clip. It's worth the few minutes and the Lampooners deserve the hit.

And thanks to our pal Ray Richmond, the best television writer (not counting our recap writers) in the business, for the tip (and Ray got the heads up from the guy who wrote the Seinfeld episode, "The Opposite").

I thought this was really clever, but you'd only get it if you've seen every episode of Seinfeld multiple times like myself.

I thought this was really clever, but to truly appreciate it you'd need to have watched a lot of Seinfeld like me.

Sorry for double comment. First one didn't seem to go through.

Absolutely brilliant clip. It's probably really sad that I could instantly identify each episode used to put this together.

Great clip! I know all the eps too, really great job.

So brilliant these guys could write for TVG. Thanks for the heads up. As a lifetime Seinfeld fan and Michael Richards, going all the way back to "Fridays" I was sorely disappointed to see the REAL Richards come out. All the apologies in the world will never cover the fact that his racism came out in a big spew. Sorry, but as far as I'm concerned his career died that night.

I'm still so confused as to why everyone is saying this incident has killed or will kill Michael Richards' career. I mean, I was pretty certain his career was dead about 15 minutes after the Seinfeld finale...
