Studio 60 returns to NBC!

Studio 60 On the Sunset Strip will be returning the NBC schedule after all.

Aaron Sorkin's serio-solemn take on life behind the scenes of a live network comedy series was yanked after 16 episodes in February and replaced with The Black Donnellys-- which was cancelled earlier this month, and replaced by The Real Wedding Crashers, which isn't exactly the new America's Funniest Home Videos (evidently because Studio 60 had cursed the timeslot).

Our pal Ray Richmond (Hey! Second plug today!) reported about a month ago that Sorkin and company had gone back into production to finish off the entire first-- and most likely, final-- season.

While the series is getting more respect than other failures that are burned off online, the NBC website shows that Studio 60 will return when it can't do any more harm:

Thursday, May 24 at 10 pm. That's one day after the end of May sweeps.

If Ray is correct, and he usually is, that means they've got six weeks of Studio 60, which will certainly brighten our Thursdays at 10 because as misguided and wrongheaded as the show was, we found it to be quite watchable.

Are you just cut and pasting crap now? Seriously, you've done nothing but bash Studio 60, and this piece claims that the author finds it quite watchable.

Jesus christ, you're either schizo or plagiarizing.

It took a while to like this show. I'm glad it will come back to finish. Thanks for the info Tab Bab. And you're right, its my favorite bad show.
