The last hours of Studio 60

studio60.jpg

We love it. We hate it. We'll miss it... Tonight, NBC begins burning off the last six episodes of its high-profile, big budget and cancelled Studio 60 On the Sunset Strip, the dull, dark and preachy Aaron Sorkin drama set behind the scenes of a live weekly comedy show. Allison Janney, a reminder of Sorkin's successful The West Wing and all the wrong elements he transferred from it to this series, guest stars tonight.

The final episodes-- including a bunch that NBC respectfully allowed Sorkin to film even after the show was declared dead-- won't hurt the network because Sweeps ended last night (for all it matters, they could be scheduling double runs of Thank God You're Here).

And returning to the NBC on Sunday for a summer run is...

...Friday Night Lights, which will play at 9 pm, and the network hopes, build enough of an audience to justify its return for a second season.

NBC took our advice and is moving the show in the fall to Friday nights (get it?) at 10.

CrazyGT:

The question I have is this:

Why wasn't EVERY episode of Studio 60 before now like last night's?
