Remember Sekou Bunch? We didn't think so. He was the first contestant voted off Survivor: Cook Islands. He lasted three days on the island and one episode on TV. But he'll be back for Sunday night's finale, and in the spotlight-- performing a song he wrote when he got home.
The song is called Survivor. But before you start getting your hopes up for some truly awful lyrics and singing, it promises to be an instrumental. And what's worse, Sekou's a pro.

According to his Survivor bio, Sekou's a professional jazz bassist who's been making music since he was a kid, had a gold record at 19 and has recorded and performed with George Benson, Quincy Jones, Coolio, Michael Jackson, Liza Minnelli, Luther Vandross, Roger Daltry, Paul Anka, Anita Baker, Wayne Shorter, Ray Charles and Ice Cube--among others. All that doesn't bode well for squirmability so much as a time-killer and chance for reaction shots of the other contestants.
"Being the first one voted off didn't phase me," Sekou says in a news release. "What was more important to me was not being voted off, but being asked to be on the show in the first place. Now, with the release of this song, I am given the chance to follow my musical dreams, as well."
Sekou's got an album coming out in January. And a network showcase isn't a bad consolation prize for the answer to a future Trivial Pursuit: Survivor question.
