New congressmen warned to avoid Colbert!

Rep. Rahm Emanuel, former Clinton adviser and an architect of the Democratic takeover of Congress, has given urgent advice to new Democratic congressmen. And it's not "Keep away from the pages."

It's "Stay away from The Colbert Report!"

"Don't do it. It's a risk and it's probably safer not to do it," he's quoted as warning.

That probably won't go over to well with Colbert, Jon Stewart and the other liberal comedians at Comedy Central's fake news division. But it's a fact that politicians of any party who submit to the Colbert charade wind up lookingt like idiots-- like Rep. John Yarmouth, who wound up debating the merits of throwing kittens into a wood chipper.

And Rahm Emanuel knows the perils and traps of show business. He's the brother of Hollywood superagent Ari Emanuel, author of an unintentionally comedic celebrity blog-- and model for Jeremy Piven's "Ari" character on HBO's Entourage.

Clipgasm: Stephen Colbert meets "Papa Bear"

No blood was spilled, the brotherhood of celebrity trumped the war of ideologies and, oddly, Jon Stewart got the worst of it last night, when Bill O'Reilly faced off against Stephen Colbert, who's made a show out of taking the piss out of our favorite sex-harrassing, loofah-fantasizing, TV blowhard bully (that would be O'Reilly) .

Colbert Report inspires a museum & gift shop

colbert.jpgStephen Colbert & The Colbert Report are getting an entire week's worth of material out of a recent trip to the Deep South, and a county that spells-- but doesn't pronounce-- its name the same as he does.

The joke is that Colbert would revitalize one of America's depressed communities by offering them the opportunity to house the "Stephen Colbert Museum & Gift Shop."

But don't go thinking the phony blowhard is pulling a mean Borat trick and making fools of the poor rubes in Colbert County, Alabama...
