Dom recently hosted the Kiwi reality singing show Pop's Ultimate Star and Are You Smarter Than A 10 Year Old? He also plays a character named Sheldon Snake in a new New Zealand movie.
The folks at New Zealand Reality TV, who refer to Dom as Dominic "Plastic" Bowden ("Looks great, sounds polished, lacks personality") are very excited, reminding their countrymen that "if he lands this role it will put him in the premier bracket of hosts who command multi-million dollar salaries."
Then again, one newspaper says Dom was actually hired to host a new American show called Star Struck-- but that's the tentative title of Simon Cowell's proposed Idol-spawned movie.
