"Rosie O'Donnell, go on-- er-- come on down!"

Maybe it's revenge against all those models who filed lawsuits or dangled lawsuits against him, but Bob Barker is going out with a bang by endorsing Rosie O'Donnell as his host on The Price Is Right. Old Bob, whose last appearance as host on the daytime show aired yesterday, made the comments backstage at the Daytime Emmy Awards after he won for the 19th time:

"I believe they're going to have a meeting with Rosie. She knows the show. There's no doubt in my mind she could do the show. Now, whether they want a lady host, I don't know. I've never heard that discussed. As far as I know, they've only auditioned men."

While that was the first time in quite a while that somebody called Rosie a "lady," old Bob said he's been friends with her since he guested on her old daytime show, when she was masquerading as "The Queen of Nice."

"She told me she loved The Price Is Right and wanted to host it one day."

Right now, the ones in consideration to take over the long skinny microphone are all handsome men...

I think of this show as something you watch when you're out of town and in a hotel getting dressed, but I might tune in to see Hamilton or O'Hurley, or heck even good ole Rosie!
