Now it seems that Kim Kardashian is about to become the Kim Kardashian of reality TV, with word that the E! Entertainment network is planning to make her the star of a reality show that would replace Paris & Nicole's The Simple Life. (Replace?!)

The show is said to be "family-based." Yeah, how about the Manson family?

And remember that just as OK! magazine paid Nicole and her live-in pop star lover Joel Madden for their time, so did ABC News find a way to slip money to the couple, despite all the bloviating about not paying for stories.

The 25-year-old was sentenced to 96 hours, or four days in stir. But she got credit for the six hours she 's already served in jail. She'll also be on probation for three years, and was fined $2,048.
