A new view of Ivanka Trump?

ivanka.jpgIt's shaping into a bullish week for the humble Trump family. NBC is expected to soon announce they're renewing Donald's The Apprentice despite all indications (like a public Trump tantrum) that the declining show had been canceled.

Now it's Ivanka's turn.

The top story this morning is that Donald's beautiful, leggy 25-year-old stonefaced daughter (and cohost on the grave-digging Apprentice: LA season) is on the list of candidates to replace daddy's nemesis, Rosie O'Donnell, on The View.

Word is that it's Barbara Walters wants to hire Ivanka because she's a "hottie with brains" who'll "stick it" to Paris Hilton and her parents for screwing Babs over when they were trying to sell Paris' post-prison interview.

Our pals over at the New York Post's Page Six are getting a lot of mileage out of a National Enquirer report that Ivanka is up for the gig, and the story is bouncing around like a pachinko ball, even though it comes with the caveat that sources say the Ivanka hire is a longshot-- with one insider insisting "it ain't gonna happen," because Walters is still angry at Donald Trump for calling her a liar during his feud with O'Donnell. But who knows? By now, Babs could hate Rosie even more.

Still in the running: Oprah's BFF Gayle King, Whoopi Goldberg, Kathy Griffin, Mario Cantone and Flipit.
