Top Chef 3 to kick off with cook-off

Bravo's Top Chef will launch its third season with a cook-off between chefs from seasons 1 and 2. Top Chef: 4-Star All-Stars" will pit first season winner Harold Dieterle, Stephen Asprinio and finalists Tiffani Faison, and Dave Martin against season two's winner Ilan Hall, his arch-enemy Marcel Vigneron and fellow finalists Sam Talbot and Elia Aboumrad in a $20,000 cook-off for charity.

After the cook-off, the teams will serve their concoctions to the fifteen contestants of Top Chef 3: Miami.

Stoned beauty Padma Lakshmi returns as host, and Ted Allen, the cooking expert from Queer Eye for The Straight Guy joins Tom Colicchio and Gail Simmons as judge.

The contestants will live in the legendary Fontainebleau Hotel on Miami Beach, which is best known as the place where Jerry Lewis filmed his masterpiece, The Bellboy. The competing chefs include:

Sandee, 39 Miami Beach, Fla.
Sara M., 34 - Miami, Fla.
Sara N., 28 - New York, N.Y.
Tre, 30 - Cedar Hill, Texas

Top Chef 3: Miami: premieres a week later, June 13th, at 10.
