A very Brady Fourth of July

Brady Bunch star Barry Williams was the guest celebrity at the Pacific Palisades Fourth of July parade this afternoon, in a nostalgia-washed fest that featured two other celebs who took us back to the Seventies and even farther beyond...

Gavin MacLeod of Mary Tyler Moore Show fame and Love Boat notoriety, and his right wing Christian compatriot Pat Boone led the parade. Pat was grand marshal; Gavin is the Palisades' honorary mayor.

It almost made us forget there's a war going on. Or that the war's in Iraq and not Vietnam.

(Pacific Palisades, located at the end of Sunset Boulevard, is Hollywood's version of an All-American small town. Former residents include Ronald Reagan and Arnold Schwarzenegger, and past honorary mayors include Steve Guttenberg, Martin Short, Chevy Chase, Bob Saget, Adam West, Anthony Hopkins... and Jerry Lewis.)
