Alex Keaton's little brother is about to get full-fledged membership in the Danny Bonaduce Child Stars Club. Brian Bonsall, who spent a few seasons on Family Ties in the Eighties and at 25 is a Hollywood has been living in Boulder, Colorado (best known locally for his resemblance to American Idol finalist Chris Richardson (above right), is in jail after allegedly beating up his girlfriend.

Bonsall is being held on possible charges of felony second-degree assault and mis-demeanor false imprisonment after the 26-year-old woman told cops he poured an alcoholic drink in her face while she was sleeping, put her in a choke hold and threw her onto a bed a few times when she tried to leave. He claims it was self-defense after she came at him with a steak knife, but cops aren't buying it.
It's not his first brush with the law.
Bonsall's driver's license was revoked for an alcohol offense in 2001, and his arrest history also includes two allegations of failure to appear in court for underage drinking. The Boulder Daily Camera newspaper reports his name appears in four other Boulder Police reports involving allegations of domestic violence and assault from 2002 and 2004. But no arrests were made.
Our personal favorite was his arrest in 2004 on suspicion of drunk driving, after he allegedly slammed his SUV to a stop in an intersection-- as a passenger stuck his head out the window and threw up into the street.
When police asked Bonsall how much he'd been drinking, he replied: "Plenty!" (A half a pint of Jim Beam, according to the police report.)
