Jeff Probst's has been telling anyone who will listen, that this will be one of "THE BEST" Survivor's ever & that the first 5 minutes will be "shocking", but the promos give that part away. They are going to dump two people before the show even gets started. Wouldn't you be pissed, if it was you? After all the bull-shit it takes to get on this show, to be dumped without ever getting to pee in the jungle, has gotta suck! Let's check it out after the jump..........
Survivor: Tocantins- The Brazilian Highlands begins it's 39 days tonight at 8pm. This is suppose to be the roughest terrain in Survivor history. We shall see. I won't elaborate on what will happen on this first episode. Jeff & CBS have already given us a few hints. I'm just excited that it's back on TV so soon! (...and The Amazing Race begins on Sunday! I'm in TV heaven).
CBS also has a new episode of CSI at 9pm. Cowboy Curtis is doing well in Grissom's job. At least the ratings haven't dropped. Tonight the crew is checking out deadly fast-food fryer grease. The Eleventh Hour is new at 10pm.
Millianaire Matchmaker is back for another season on BRAVO at 10pm. Madam Host Patti Stanger selects lovely young, big breasted women to date millionaire dorks who need someone to do their dating for them. WTF? Sounds like an escort service to me, but our madam host assures us that this is not the case. I'm not buying it. At least shows like Rock of Love Bus admit that they're a bus-load of skanky, slutty, TV attention whores. Why didn't BRAVO just use some of those "housewives" they parade around?
ABC has a trick up their sleeve tonight. Ugly Betty is at 8pm & Daniel's mom is celebrating her 60th birthday. So they bring in celebrity columnist Liz Smith for a guest spot. I'm not sure if she'll be a friend or foe of the Meade family. I can't get over how awful they still continue to dress Betty. It gets worse every week, but I guess that's the point of it all. At least Vanessa Williams remains a true beauty to counteract it all.
OH YEH, back to the trick up ABC's sleeve! (sorry, got carried away). Tonight Grey's Anatomy & Private Practice CROSS-OVER! Yes, the two shows combine one storyline into two different shows. Wow, that's a 2-hr movie, isn't it? I'm not sure how it works, one goes to the other for a life-saving (or threatening) operation & the other wants to collaborate on a neuro patient. I'm sure we'll have a happy ending, don't you?
NBC is all new tonight. My Name is Earl, at 8pm, has Joy & Darnell getting moved to an upper-class neighborhood for their new witness protection location. They end up living next to some really 'desperate' housewives. Joan Van Ark, Morgan Fairchild & Andrea Parker are Joy's new pals.
Kath & Kim is the filler half hour at 8:30pm. This when you should go and throw that load of laundry in or get the dishes done before The Office comes on at 9pm. Michael & Pam conclude their speaking tour with the Utica division of Dunder-Mifflin giving Michael valuable insight, in part 2 of their rode trip.
At 9:30pm, it's 30 Rock with Tina Fey still in love with Mad Men's Jon Hamm. They go out on a Valentine's Date. I'm sure it's really romantic (insert sarcasm).
ER is on at 10pm. Eric LaSalle is the director of this episode. The reason this is important is because he used to be Dr. Benton back in the old days. Nice to see he's got a job. NBC's site teased me last week, hinting that Dr. Carter would make an appearance. They LIED! Now I hate them.
FOX has the 40th Annual NAACP Image Awards live at 8pm. Halle Berry & Tyler Perry are hosts for the evening. Jennifer Hudson is scheduled to perform along with Seal. I will be sure to post all the fashion pictures in the forums tomorrow.

This is the only night of the week I have to watch live while running both recorders...
Survivor, CSI, 11th Hour, Hell's Kitchen, Grey's Anatomy (and now I'm required to watch Private Practice this week,) and ER.

h4b, that's Joan Van Ark who is guest starring on "My Name is Earl". She used to be big on the night time soap opera "Knots Landing" in the 80's.
