TV Patrol: Sunday Surprises!

Do you like Robin Hood? Do you prefer the Erroll Flynn or Kevin Costner version..... or do you like Disney's foxy rendition? Oh & Sean Connery played our thieving hero too Why do I ask? I'll tell you after the JUMP.........

Saddam-Makeover
I really hope they dramatize Saddam well.

The "big" news is the new show premiering tonight on TNT at 10pm. "Leverage" starring Timothy Hutton, (remember him from "Taps") is a man on a mission. After the insurance company he worked for refused to pay for his terminally ill son's treatments, he became a modern-day Robin Hood. He & his team of thieves & hackers take revenge against those who use power and wealth to victimize others, Fits right in with our current affairs, wouldn't you say! This show combines wit & humor with just enough action & technology to make it sound like a winner to me. (but I liked "My Own Worst Enemy). It will move to it's regular time slot, Tuesdays at 10pm on 12/9.

"The Amazing Race 13" on CBS, has it's season finale tonight at 8pm. (if the football game doesn't go over, make a note of that if you are recording it). We are down to 3 teams, Tina & Ken (the split-up couple, because Ken just doesn't think about Tina all the time, like she does), Andrew & Dan (the most unenthusiastic team to ever run this race & they bitch ALL THE TIME, at least Dan does), and Nick & Starr (brother & sister, who have come in first more times than any other team & don't need to win because they have so many 1st place prizes). I'll drop dead if Dandrew wins. But hofefully not before I see Phil smile one more time. (*sigh*). Remember, the 14th Season starts Feb. 15th on CBS.

HBO is airing Part #1 of it's two-part biopic,"House of Saddam" at 9pm. It tells the dramatized version of Saddam Hussein's life, from his rise to power in Iraq, in 1979, to his death, by hanging, in 2003. I have mixed feelings about this mini-series. Can director Alex Holmes, give us an unbiased version of this man's life? Is this something we are ready to see, with the war still raging in Iraq? I'm not going to watch it. I will get the History Chhannel's version for now.

"Dexter" only has 2 episodes left, with one airing tonight at 9pm on Showtime. This season, Dexter has hit his stride & so has this show. Every week it just gets better & better. Even Deb's acting has improved. Last week, we were left hanging with Dexter, bound, gagged & locked in the trunk of the "skinner's" car. There can only be bloodshed from here. Skinner this week & Miguel next week. What a finale that would be!

Let's get to the schedule, shall we:
