ABC's Dancing With the Stars premiered last Monday with the highest numbers ever for their opening show. Did they beat American Idol? Check it out after the jump......
Can you believe it! NBC made the list this week. Law & Order: SVU is at #20. It really is a great show & I'm glad to see it on the list even though it bumped my LOST off. NBC's ER episode with George Clooney almost hit the big time, coming in at #22. With absolutely no promos harking his return as Doug Ross, I say that's pretty good. FOX's American Idol may finally have some competition. Dancing With the Stars on ABC had 22 million viewers, the most ever for their season premiere. They went head to head last night for the first time. DWTS recap show only brought in 8 million viewers & their first "results show" garnered 12.4 million. American Idol had a total viewership, for it's two-hours, of 21.5 million tuning in. CBS is still in this game with 15 million viewers for NCIS & The Mentalist. These are just the overnight totals. All networks are claiming their overall numbers are down due to the St. Patrick's Day drunkeness of it's viewers.
Mr. Nielson has decided that these are the "Top Twenty" shows for Mar. 8-15.

The "Top Ten" cable shows are much the same this week. Wrestling is still #1. but Disney shows are coming on strong. The kids are really dominating the cable networks. Great babysitters if you ask me.
