TV Patrol: 'Premiere' Tuesday

"MAKE-UP!" Do you remember that old-time phrase, when the director shouted it out and the actor was pummeled with a huge powder puff!!! (maybe I'm showing my age again). That is the image I got when I found out about "Blush: The Search for the Next Great Make-Up Artist" begining tonight on Lifetime at 10pm. November is "Sweeps" month, but this is definitely "Premiere" night. With "Blush" & 4 other new shows & one returning show, all airing tonight, there is something for everyone. Let's jump on it........

Picture 8-58

Lifetime's "BLUSH: The Search for the Next Great Make-Up Artist" airing at 10pm tonight, is all about 9 very dramatic contestants, all vying for $100,000 and the chance to work for Max Factor. I checked out the website and we have some real divas on this show. There is a host, a mentor & semi-famous judges, like Hal Rubenstein. There are only 6 episodes so it's a quickie. I think this is Lifetime's attempt at proving they can handle producing "Project Runway". We shall see.

SciFi has come up with a reality show with a twist. "CHA$E" premieres tonight at 10pm. I checked this one out on-line too. Here's the on-line description. "CHA$E, an action-packed, edge-of-your-seat reality show, pits Runners against each other on life sized "game boards" in the quest for cash. But in order to win, they must avoid being caught by the relentless Hunters who stalk them during the games." Sounds good, right? There are 10 contestants & 8 'hunters', who are kinda like gladiators' in black suits. They play for cash like on "The Mole". This kind of reminds me of that show for some reason.

"Rehab: Party at the Hard Rock Hotel" is premiering tonight on truTV at 10pm. This show takes place at the pool party held every Sunday at the Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas. Here is their on-line promo. "A behind-the-scenes look at "the hottest party in the sexiest city" told from the point of view of the people who keep things running......" I take this as meaning testimonials from the bartenders, cleaning ladies, pool cleaners, waiters, prostitutes, transvestites, & the health department.

HISTORY Channel is giving us season #2 of "The Universe" at 9pm. They will take us out into outerspace. "Deep Space Disasters" is their first episode. (I think they could find 'disaster' right here tonight on truTV).
"Extreme Trains" airs at 10pm. This is a series on TRAINS. We get to hitch a ride on a coal train in the opener. Maybe we'll see a 'coal miner's daughter'.

Our final 'Premiere' show is "Extreme Loggers" on the Discovery Channel also at 10pm. (The nice thing about cable shows is that they repeat them over & over during the week) We get to se what it's like to cut down trees for a living. The first episode takes us into the swamps, where loggers need to clear out trees in a muddy, suck your boots off, bog.

Those are our premieres. Is there anything that interests you? If not, here's the regular schedule.

ABC:
"Dancing with the Stars Performance Recap Show" at 8pm. (WTF? We need to see them dance again?)
"Dancing with the Stars: Results Show" at 9pm. ( My bet is that Lance will go this week. I am really loving Waren, but I really do think that Maurice danced way better than he did last night).
"Eli Stone" at 10pm. (new) (I love when he has 'visions' & he has one tonight)

CBS:
"NCIS" at 8pm. (new) (One of the 'top ten' in the Nielson's last week. What am I missing?)
"The Mentalist" at 9pm. (new) (I watch just to see Simon Baker. He's such a hottie)
"Without a Trace" at 10pm. (new)

NBC:
"The Biggest Loser: Families" at 8pm. (new) The families are split up and now have to compete as individuals. Brady is the only dude left. He needs to sabatoge these women. Women love cheesecake.
"Law & Order: SVU" at 10pm. (new)

FOX:
"House" at 8pm. (new) (oh, last week we were left hanging with the "big kiss' between Cuddy & House. Will House knock her up now?)
"Fringe" at 9pm. (new)

CW:
"90210" at 8pm. (new)
"Privileged" at 9pm. (new)

MTV: "Paris Hilton's My New BFF" at 9pm. (repeat) & at 10pm. (NEW) The skank wants her skank wannabes to go pick up guys and bring them back to the mansion for her to hump.

OXYGEN: "Coolio's Rules" at 9pm. (repeat) & 10pm. (NEW) I'm loving Coolio! All his hats are split on top for his braid to stick up through.
