NBC's Fall Schedule

medium-show.jpg

I'm sorry Flipit... I was wrong!

It's official, the idiots at NBC decided to discontinue Medium but there is a light at the end of the tunnel for the show. It's owned by CBS & they have plans to pick it up & place it on Friday nights along side their successful series Ghost Whisperer. More on NBC's new schedule after the jump.....

"I, Jay Leno, do solemnly swear to save NBC primetime..."

It's the biggest & boldest move NBC (or any other network) has ever made. The Jay Leno Show will take over the 10pm time slot Monday thru Friday. Jay will be up against the 10pm dramas that are so popular. Can he garner the viewers away from them. I'm thinking that he can do it a least a few nights a week. I just know that NBC needed to do something like this in order to 'stay in the game'.

They have also invested in some new dramas that are not "Law & Order" spin-offs.

On Mondays, Heroes moves to the 8pm time slot & the new drama, Trauma will air at 9pm. The first responder paramedics from San Francisco General are the focus of this intense, action-packed drama. Sounds like ER on the streets. I hope it's as good.

San Francisco's First Responders

Midseason, NBC switches Trauma out to make room for Day One which will be about a small band of survivors of a global catastrophe, trying to salvage what's left of society, while uncovering the mystery of why and how the catastrophe occurred, and what future lies ahead for mankind. Jesse Alexander (LOST, Heroes) is the writer/producer of this post-apocalyptic sci-fi drama. This could very well be my kind of show. I will wait with baited breathe.

Artist's rendition of the apocalyptic demise of Van Nuys, CA. All cameras have been destroyed.

Parenthood is a clone of the movie with the same name & focuses on the everyday challenges that modern families face while raising children and starting over. It has a very impressive cast which consists of Peter Krause (Six Feet Under & Dirty, Sexy, Money), Maura Tierney (ER), Bonnie Bedelia (DieHard), Dax Shepard (Punk'd) & Craig T. Nelson (Coach) & comes from Imagine Entertainment's Ron Howard and Brian Grazer. With a list like that, how can it lose.

Lots of familiar faces.

Community is the show I'm hoping does well. It stars my hero, Joel McHale from The Soup on E!. (He will still be doing "The Soup" so don't worry). He pairs up with Chevy Chase in this sitcom in which "McHale's character, a lawyer, re-enrolls in community college after his degree is deemed invalid. Chase plays a classmate who's been married five times." I haven't seen a clip yet but I'm hearing that it's really funny.

This is my pick for a hit show.
