"Traumatized", that's just how I feel when I see the promos for NBC's new medical show Trauma, which premieres tonight at 9pm. When I think of San Francisco, I think of communities of hippies, neighborhoods with gay couples, Mrs. Doubtfire... not explosions & mass destruction! I never knew it was so dangerous to live there.
Before I get to today's viewing pleasures, I need to say this about Dexter on Showtime last night. "OMG! WTF?" The first 10 minutes with John Lithgow were so disturbing, I couldn't shake the creepyness of it all during the whole hour. Then at the end, another "OMG! WTF?" moment. It's going to be a bloody season.
Mad Men on AMC, was another show that left me wondering "WTF?". I was wondering if Don signed that contract! My DVR didn't record the end after Mr. Cooper passed it to him & said: "After all, when it comes right down to it, who's really signing this contract anyway?" One of the best moments of the season. Did he or didn't he, or was everyone left hanging, just as I was?
Okay, on to tonight's fare. As I said, the only new show premiering tonight is Trauma on NBC at 9pm. This show focuses on the 'first responders', the paramedics that get to an emergency first. In the opening scene, it's utter chaos & it's one year earlier. That's right, we are witnessing the terrible helicopter crash of the "Angel Rescue" unit at the site of a highway accident. Ten people died that day, but not the pilot. He lives to come back to work & that's what he does on this episode. Of course, everyone in this unit is physically perfect & great to look at. I'm holding my opinion until after I see the show, but I'm already a tad skeptical.

Heroes is new at 8pm. Sylar is still torturing Matt about getting his body back & our cheerleader needs to explain to her new friend why she can jump out windows & not get hurt.
The Jay Leno Show at 10pm, has Bill Maher as his guest & there's country music with Bill Paisley & Sheryl Crow.
CBS has all new episodes of their comedy line-up.
How I Met Your Mother at 8pm, has Ted on a blind date with a woman he realizes he went out with 7yrs. ago.
Accidentally on Purpose is at 8:30pm. I heard rumors that this show is already threatened with cancellation. I guess putting it betwen two hits just doesn't work like it used to. DVR's take care of that.
Two & a Half Men at 9pm has Alan's GF moving in & the women take over Charlie's bachelor pad atmosphere.
The Big Bang Theory follows at 9:30pm. Sheldon &Howard have a bet with their comic books on the line.
CSI: Miami at 10pm has the lab under attack with hostages taken. H has to give in to the gunman's demands.
It's the second week of Dancing With the Stars on ABC at 8pm. It seems that rock-daughter Kelly Osborne is the fan favorite. Her biggest threat is Donny Osmond & his bright white smile. It could end up being Osmond vs Osborne with the two being total social opposites.
Castle is new at 10pm. There's two murders & a bet to see who can solve theirs first.

Over on FOX, House goes back to work at 8pm. He tells Cuddy he's a changed man. Does she believe him. Forman is trying to get House's job, but it's not going so well.
Lie To Me returns for it's 2nd season at 9pm. Tim Roth is back to busting liars, but tonight's he's got to deal with a woman with multiple personalities & he can't tell if she a witness to a murder or the murderer.
The CW has a new One Tree Hill at 8pm, followed by Gossip Girl at 9pm.
Cable networks with new shows are:
A&E with Intervention at 9pm & Hoarders at 10pm.
TLC airs a new Jon & Kate Plus 8 at 9pm. (like anyone cares anymore) & The Ultimate Cake-Off at 10pm.
BRAVO has a new Rachel Zoe Project at 10pm.
That's it for tonight kids. Sorry things are kinda hurried. I'm sick with a nasty-ass cold & spent most of the day in bed, hoping someone would feel sorry for me. In the words of Nelson: "HaHa!" My "Pick of the Night" is Trauma. I need to give it a chance!
love
