TV Patrol: "Wave the Flag!" Wednesday

The final Presidential Debates are what we, as good Americans, are suppose to be watching tonight. As your dedicated TV Patrol, I have found many diverse alternatives to our patriotic duties. Let us begin after the jump!

She'll be watching Knight Rider.

First off, I need to thank Narcissistic for turning me on to "Eli Stone". I'm a fan after watching last night's season premiere. He had me at the start of the show with "Dancing in the Street". Your brief synonpsis brought me right up to speed with most of the story. I hate his ex. She's a real bitch. I hope he never gets back to her. I was fooded by the imaginary mental therapist. I thought she was real, but she was just the aneurysm. I'm hooked. Sorry Jason, I dvr'd "The Shield", just haven't got to it yet. DWTS sent Rocco back to the kitchen & kept Cloris around for another week. I'm hoping she stays longer than Erica Kane.

CBS:
"The New Adventures of Old Christine" at 8pm. (new episode)
"Gary Unmarried" at 8:30pm. (new episode)
NBC:
"Knight Rider" at 8pm. (new episode)
ABC:
"Pushing Daisies" at 8pm. (new episode)
CW:
"America's Next Top Model" at 8pm. (new episode)
"90210" at 9pm.

FOX is airing the 5th game of the NL playoffs. Phillies @ Dodgers.

BRAVO:
"Project Runway" at 8pm. (repeat of the final 4)
"Project Runway" at 9pm. (Season Finale) We get to see the final 3 show their collections at Fashion Week. (Tim Gunn fills in as judge for J-Lo because she hurt her foot & ran a triathlon 3 days later.) I'm hoping Kenley wins, just because!
"Top Design" at 10pm. (new episode) I don't know if I can watch now that Wisit was gone, but I will try. The designers need to show what their vision of a futuristic design should be. Maybe this is where Nathan will finally come up smelling like a stinkweed, instead of a rose, for a change.

SciFi:
"GhostHunters" at 8pm. (repeat)
"GhostHunters" at 9pm. (new episode)
"Destination Truth" at 10pm. (Season Finale)

A&E:
"Dog the Bounty Hunter" at 9pm. (new episode)
"Parking Wars" at 10pm. (season premiere) I watched this show last year and it was a total HOOT! Watching normal people, like us, try and get their cars back & go into total meltdown when they are denied is soooo entertaining.

Discovery Channel is airing a new episode of "MythBusters" at 9pm. They are going to delve into the myths & truths of Ninja Warriors. God, I hope they use dead pigs! Did you see the episode where they shot cannonballs into four pigs dressed like pirates, right down to the hook instead of a hoof & a parrots on their shoulders! Gotta love those guys.

MOVIES MOVIES MOVIES! There is quite a collection of great movies on tonight.

HBO:
"Section 60: Arlington National Cemetary" at 8pm. This is a documentary about the diverse group of people who now reside in our nation's most honored resting place.
Encore:
"Erin Brockovich" at 8pm. Julia Roberts with boobs!
TCM:
"Bringing up Baby" at 8pm. It's one of my favorite Cary Grant movies. (Arsenic & Old Lace" is my fave.) Katherine Hepburn is his girlfriend and she has a pet leopard (Baby), that they keep losing.
Disney:
"Aladdin" at 8pm. Ya gotta watch it, if for no other reason, to see Robin William's portrayal as the Blue Genie.
CMT:
"Deliverance" at 8pm. Dueling Banjos and the rape of Ned Beatty while canoeing, won an Oscar for Best Picture.

AMC is continuing their love affair with Clint Eastwood.
"Magnum Force" at 5:30pm. Dirty Harry coins the phrase "Make my day."
"The Enforcer" at 8pm. He teams up with Tyne Daley and chases a murderer to Alcatraz.
"The Gauntlet" at 10pm. This bus trip makes "Speed" look like a cartoon.

I told you I could find other things to watch besides Archie Bunker & George Jefferson.

love

Cherie:

Damn and here I thought the debates were the only thing on! Thanks chooch, now I have options...I mean for AFTER I watch the debates of course...

narcissistic:

Wow, that's a long list of shows. haha.
Thanks, I was super pissed just now, when I realized nothing was recording until we realized the debates were on. I'm probably going to get the whole "un-American" spiel for this, but then again, it is TVgasm, why can't we just force the candidates to go on strike to make up for last year's catastrophe?? I need my FIX!!!
And YAY Chooch! I was on last night to check if you had left a comment about watching it, so I figured you didn't see it or it didn't interest you, but I'm so glad I convinced you!! It's a definite feel-good show (except the bitch ex). I HATE her, always did and always will. The other pro-bono girl and Eli both like each other (even though she's engaged) and they kissed last season prior to his surgery. And he's had a vision of marrying her, so YAY Eli and Maggie!!
I was a little pissed last night when the first half was Nathan having a vision, cause then they can't call it Eli Stone anymore, but the therapist thing threw me way off too (it's the first time she's been on the show) and I got all teary when Eli said he wanted the aneurysm back.
Gosh, I love this show.
