They're Here! Ratings Are In

Why was Mr. Nielson late this week? Find out after the jump.....

I have no idea why Mr. Nielson was late with the "Top Twenty" ratings list for this past week. I've heard rumors that he had the swine flu. We may never know, but things are back to normal again & I mean that in every way. Just look at the list. I swear, it's almost the same as last week. There is one notable difference. That stupid Surviving Suburbia is no longer on it. It has dropped to 8.9mil viewers. There is a TV God! Both American Idol & Dancing With the Stars are at the top. These two shows are in their final stretch & things will surely change by the end of the month.

Will "DWTS" beat "AI" in finale ratings?

Once again, CBS dominates with over half the list being their shows. NBC? Hmmmm.... nope, not this week. Here's Mr. Nielson's "Top Twenty" list for the week of April 27-May 3:

Here is the list of "Top Ten" shows viewed by the biggest consumer group in the USA..... Women ages 18-34. These are the shows the ladies watch. I was surprised by how far down the list Dancing With the Stars ended up. Must be us old people are the biggest viewers of this show, much like when my grandma made me watch The Lawrence Welk Show. Also note, not a single CBS show on this list.

Fingers crossed that we see more of Echo & Alpha.

FOX's Dollhouse had 3 million viewers for it's "Alpha" episode. They still haven't given the show the axe. Here's hoping they don't. The finale is tomorrow night at 9pm. The lowest rated show on FOX is it's newest animated series, Sit Down, Shut Up which only had 2million watching. It has been given the 7:30pm slot on Sunday's cuz it sucks so bad. Don't look for a new season for this mess.

I'm hoping "Ted" sticks around.

Over at ABC, it's lowest rated show is (surprise surprise!) According to Jim with 3.1 million watching it's 8pm show this tuesday night. They have assured us that this is Jim's final season. All of the new shows that were premiered this past few months are in danger of cancellation. In the Motherhood, The Unusuals, Better Off Ted, Cupid & Castle have all had low ratings, although Castle did pick up when it took the prime spot after DWTS, replacing Surviving Suburbia (which did NOT do well on it's own). ABC will announce it's fall line-up on May 19th.

Hard to believe this was CBS' lowest-rated show last week.

MelBell:

I love Castle. I hope it doesn't get cancelled. I like Without a Trace as well but it has been on for awhile. :-S

cattyfan:

I continue to lobby hard for my favortie two shows, The Unit and Eleventh Hour.

I'm prime demographic for the networks, so hopefully they'll listen.

baymenxpac:

if CBS cancels how i met your mother, i effin quit! i seriously don't know how everyone doesn't watch this show. it's amazing

chooch850:

There is no chance of HIMYM getting cancelled. I can assure you that it has been renewed for another season. With almost 9 million viewers, it is only 1 million behind NBC' #1 show L&O:SVU.

Don't worry bay... it will be around for awhile more.... and I hear rumors that Sarah Chalke is NOT the mother!

bluzgirl:

Anybody know if Medium will be coming back?

chooch850:

I looked into it for you bluzgirl & it seems (at this time) that "Medium" is safe. NBC will announce it's full schedule at the same time as ABC on May 19th. We will know for sure then.

flipit:

yayay medium!
