CBS is having a hard time trying to determine which shows to ditch for new programming. They are claiming that they only have room on their schedule for 3 or 4 new programs.Their lowest-rated show this past week is a winner & will be renewed. How I Met Your Mother was at the bottom of their barrel, but still had 8.8 million viewers. The Big Bang Theory had 9.2 million people watching them. One-hour dramas are the most in danger of getting the axe. Cold Case, The Unit, Eleventh Hour & Without a Trace are definite maybes! I doubt we'll see another season of Harper's Island. It's been in a steady decline since it's premiere.
The CW has America's Next Top Model as it's #1 show at 4 million & Everybody Hates Chris is it's bottom line for new programs with 1.6 million. Gossip Girl has 1.9mil & will be renewed for another season.
NBC is struggling. It's #1 show is Law & Order: SVU with 10.5 million viewers. It is definitely returning this fall with or without it's 2 top stars. Their lowest rated show is that nightmare Howie Do It which only had 3.2 million watching last week. The shows in danger of cancellation are My Name is Earl, Kings, & Chuck. I'm hoping they rally & find some really good programming for the fall season. They need a complete overhall & should start with Heroes. Dump it now & move on.
That's it for this week. Anyone looking forward to the summer programming?

I love Castle. I hope it doesn't get cancelled. I like Without a Trace as well but it has been on for awhile. :-S

I continue to lobby hard for my favortie two shows, The Unit and Eleventh Hour.
I'm prime demographic for the networks, so hopefully they'll listen.

There is no chance of HIMYM getting cancelled. I can assure you that it has been renewed for another season. With almost 9 million viewers, it is only 1 million behind NBC' #1 show L&O:SVU.
Don't worry bay... it will be around for awhile more.... and I hear rumors that Sarah Chalke is NOT the mother!

Anybody know if Medium will be coming back?

I looked into it for you bluzgirl & it seems (at this time) that "Medium" is safe. NBC will announce it's full schedule at the same time as ABC on May 19th. We will know for sure then.
