"TV Space.... the final frontier... these are the findings of the Gasm's TV Patrol.... it's ongoing mission..... to seek out new shows & new slutfests.... to boldly say what everyone else is afraid to....
Mekka lekka hi, mekka heiny ho!
Being a HUGE fan of "Star Trek" & William Shatner, I must bring attention to tonight's "Star Trek 25th Anniversary" on BIOGRAPHY Channel at 8pm. It starts with the original show which aired from 1966-1969 when NBC cancelled it for lack of a profitable audience. Boy were they wrong. It's popularity in syndication, spawned 6 movies & numerous spin-offs. The show is full of clips, outtakes, and interviews. It is followed by "William Shatner: Raw" at 10pm with his guest & Star Trek co-star, Spock (Leonard Nimoy).
Lots of new & returning shows on tonight. The biggest hype is the return of "Scrubs" to it's new network, ABC at 9 & 9:30pm. I have always been a fan of this show, but I don't really care if it's back. I was losing interest when it was cancelled by NBC. If there is nothing better to watch on Tuesday's, I'll probably watch, but it's not a show I'm going to save precious space for on my dvr, especially when there are new episodes of "According to Jim" to record.
The NEW show premiering tonight is "Homeland Security USA" on ABC at 8pm. Is it just me, or do you find something a bit wrong with a show about how we protect our country from the bad guys. It seems like it's a show on "tips on how to avoid getting caught by Homeland Security". I don't find that entertaining. I'd rather watch skanks on a bus.
"Primetime: What Would You Do?" returns at 10pm, also on ABC, with John Quinones asking this very question. Hidden cameras film staged scenerios, such as, a guy slipping a 'mickey' into an unsuspecting female's drink & wait to see how people react to the situation. Now, I like this show. For some reason, I like to watch what someone does whe they see something happening & whether they just ignore the whole thing or jump in and help. I find this a much more interesting way to observe the human race than that idiotic show, "True Beauty".
"Biggest Loser: Couples" starts it's new, 7th season tonight on NBC at 8pm. They are boasting that this is the fattest group of "losers" they have ever had. There is even a kid weighing over 400 lbs. The promos remind me of circus barkers wanting you to "step right up...see the amazing 454 lb boy... LIVE... right here... step right up!" Oh, and don't forget, the oldest loser is on the show too. Sorry, the exploitation of us, who are old and voluptuously, well-endowed, rubs me the wrong way.
NBC has a NEW "Law & Order: SVU" on at 10pm. A young girl is returned to her family after being abducted 4 years ago. During the investigation, they find holes in her story.
CBS is airing all NEW episodes of their Tuesday night line-up. It will be interesting to see how these high rated shows do against the competition tonight.
"NCIS" at 8pm
"The Mentalist" at 9pm.
"Without a Trace" at 10pm.
FOX has opted to run repeats of "House" at 8pm & "Fringe" at 9pm.
The CW has NEW episodes of "90210" at 8pm and "Privileged" at 9pm.
"Leverage" on TNT at 10pm is all NEW. The thieves' target is a Serbian adoption agency that's ripping off couples who are trying to adopt disdvantaged kids. They need to rescue the children & get proof on tape, taking out the whole agency. I'm still liking this show & hoping it's not going to get yanked anytime in the near future.
"Nip/Tuck is back on FX at 10pm. All NEW season of drama amongst the plastic surgeons. Sean breaks up with Colleen once & for all, so that mens they'll be back together by the next episode.
"Real Housewives of Orange County returns tonight on BRAVO with an all new episode. The drama continues in the lives of these poor excuses for 'housewives'. New girl, Gretchen gets a huge diamond engagement ring at the mall while her fiance is still in the hospital. Michael throws a pool party & one of the neighbor's squeals on him. Then these so-called 'housewives' go to the racetrack. WTF? Who's gonna do the laundry?
