TV Patrol: Psyched-up Sunday

Have I told you guys how much I love Sundays? I wait all week for this day & now it's here. Let's get to the primetime itinerary.

First a few words about last night's fanfare.

"FoxReality Channel 'Really Awards" was a total blowjob gone bad. It was a mess. The nominees were the trashiest of the reality trash. You know it was pig poop when the most exciting person to appear was Evel Dick. What a waste of time.

And space.

If anyone is listening to me, I'm hereby recommending Gimme My Own Reality Show. This show puts a new twist on competition shows. Our reality stars pick their own production team and set out to prove they are the one that we most want to watch. With a cast of "Oh yeh, I remember her/him." it makes for good TV. Kato Kaelin (OJ's man), Susan Olsen (Brady brat), Gretchen Bonaduce (Danny's dog), Bobby Trendy (I'm fabulous), Ryan Starr (AI loser), Traci Bingham (boobs), & AJ Benza (poker puss) are the wannabes. The first task was for each to make a 90sec video promoting themselves. These were viewed by three "so-called" judges. (I have no idea who they are) & also how many hits they got on YouTube. (you can still see them there. I suggest you look up Susan Olsen's & Ryan Starr's.) This show only has 7 candidates and the final show is on election day. They will be down to three, so it's not a long, drawn out show. Quick & easy, just like I like it. Check it Out!

We have two premieres tonight:

FoodNetwork has "Chef Jeff Project" at 10pm. (premiere & new show) Chef Jeff takes six young bad-asses and puts them to work in his restaurant, "Chef Jeff's Urban Cuisine." Free help! I loved it when I just had to pay my help a case of beer or a couple of packs of smokes.

VH1 is recycling the cast-offs from "Rock of Love" for a new show. "Rock & Roll Charm School" at 9pm. (premiere & new show) Sharon Osborne is head mistress to 14 of Shawn Michael's skanky-ass rejects. What the hell is she going to teach them? How to throw ham at the neighbors. How to change your rockstar's pants after he's passed out and pissed them. How to find the proper rehab for the children. How to diguise the smell of dog shit in three easy steps. I guess there is alot she can teach them.

CBS: (let me remind you that football is on in the afternoon, thus making shows run a little late.)
"Amazing Race" at 8pm. The title of this episode is "Did you Push My Sports Bra Off the Ledge?" hahahaha!
"Cold Case" at 9pm. (new episode) The investigators go back to 1954. That's the year I was born. Disneyland opened that year too.
"The Unit" at 10pm. (new episode)

ABC:
"America's Funniest Home Videos" at 7pm. (new episode)
"Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" at 8pm. (new episode) Why do they still say 'Home Edition'?
"Desparate Housewives" at 9pm. (new episode) There's a cat fight on the front lawn.
"Brothers & Sisters" at 10pm. (new episode) ho-hum...

CW: (This network has been taken off the air in our area because of a lack of commercial revenues. No one can get any of these shows anymore. They will have to find them on-line. Sorry Strad!)
"In Harm's Way" at 7pm. (new episode).
"Valentine" at 8pm. (new episode) I haven't heard if this show is any good.
"Easy Money" at 9pm. (new episode). This show looks interesting.

NBC has football. The Patriots vs The Chargers. That's all you're getting from me.

FOX has the 3rd game of the NL play-offs. Philadelphia vs the Dodgers.

cattyfan:

The Unit (CBS) is still one of the best, and most under-appreciated, shows on T.V.

That and The Amazing Race are the only two reasons I turn on the T.V. on sunday nights.

Giffordsaz:

Chooch you rock the guide to television.

No other person could do this the way you do. What a great diamond in the rough you are!!!

chooch850:

Thanks for the cudos giff! I'm happy to hear it when someone is 'checking it out'.

cattyfan, I will take your advice and watch "The Unit" tonight. I always record it because "Cold Case" usually runs over because of football, but I never watch it.

cattyfan:

It's got a killer cast...Dennis Haysbert & Robert Patrick, among others.

I look forward to seeing your opinion.

cattyfan:

Tonight's episode of The Unit was pretty good, but not up to the usual standards. I'm not sure the new woman member of the team is really working out.

If you want to get a real feel for this show, watch Season 3, Episode 7: "Five Brothers."
