TV Patrol: The Tudors!

The heads are piling up.

Showtime has finally announced that The Tudors will return for it's 4th & final season on April 11th at 9pm. King Henry Vlll is running out of wives, with only two left (Catherine Howard & Catherine Par), historically the show must come to an end. Creator Michael Heist will be the writer for these final ten episodes. I wonder if that festering, nasty leg wound of his will finally heal & that'll be the real finale.

Here are some other shows we'll see in 2010.....

I was wondering who'd get the bragging rights.

The TV premiere of the blockbuster movie,Twilight will be seen on Showtime. They announced that it would air on Saturday, January 23rd. This is big news. It's not even going to pay-per-view first. My tween nieces are huge fans & have convinced me that this is no ordinary "vampire" movie. Being a True Blood fan, I'm skeptical, but I'm curious to see what all the fuss is.

Middle-class, cultured whores & no I'm not talking about Desperate Housewives!

The Secret Diary of a Call Girl will start it's 3rd season on Mon. January 25th at 10pm. The series star, Billie Piper, after having her baby, which was masked by body-doubles last season, returns as Hannah/Belle, the college student/prostitute with culture.. We'll get to see if she got stretch marks & how well they cover them up!
Tracey Ullman's State of the Union will follow again on the same night at 10:30pm for it's 3rd season too.

The Peyton's Place

Nurse Jackie returns for her 2nd season on March 22nd at 10pm. When we last saw her, she was on the floor, in the fetal position, in the hospital bathroom, after downing 3 vials of morphine. What brought our heroine to this state? Her drunken boyfriend, Eddie, had whispered into her ear: "I met Kevin. Nice bar you two have." Ya gotta love the medical profession.

Four stages of crazy or menopause?

The United States of Tara also returns on the same night at 10:30pm. Now Tara's got a good reason why she's whacked & she has a certificate to prove it. Maybe she can help Nurse Jackie find that "happy place" without drugs, like she has. I'm hoping they focus more on "alter-housewife Alice" & less on that moron Buck this season. I love Alice. Will we see more "alters"? I hope not, she has enough now.

wootton1.JPG

Punk'd or Borat?

There is one new show premiering on January 23rd at 11pm. La La Land stars British actor & comic, Marc Wootton & he's playing 3 different characters interacting with real people situations in LA. I saw previews tonight during Dexter & it reminded me of a cross between Candid Camera & Punk'd. The six-episode run is written by Wootton and Borat's Peter Baynham. Now you get the idea, right?

There ya have it!

PottyMouth:

Thanks for the scoop on The Tudors, Chooch! I guess I'd better catch up before then, huh?

Don't go into Twilight with your expectations TOO high - there are definitely some problems with production, IMHO. But if you can get past that stuff, you may really enjoy the movie. I'm looking forward to see what the new director brings to the next one, New Moon.

Have you read any of the books?

buckrogers:

I just watched Twilight the other night, and I want my 2 hours back. Seriously, do not waste your time. There is NO plot. I kept watching and waiting for something - anything - to happen. I'm a huge fan of True Blood, and I loved Buffy the Vampire Slayer so I thought I should give this a shot. This schlock does not hold a candle to either one.
