Well, if you thought season three of True Blood was a head-scratching, wild ride, then you ain’t seen NUTHIN’ yet, sweetie! Season four pics up right where season three left off, with Sookeh disappearing into the fantastical faery world with Claudine. Of course, not everything’s coming up roses and glowing fruit on the other side, and Sookeh’s sixth sense reveals that Queen Mab isn’t being on the level. Sookeh’s grandpa Earl (Gary Cole) helps her escape back to Bon Temps, where it turns out that Sookeh hasn’t been gone for fifteen minutes – she’s been gone for over a year!!

And oh, what a difference a year makes! Jason’s now a cop… Sheriff Andy’s hooked on V… Jessica and Hoyt are experiencing domestic unbliss… Arlene is convinced that her baby is an evil monster… Hoyt’s mother has taken a crippled Tommy under her fat, religious wing… Sam’s in anger management and going to shapeshifter orgies… and Tara is not only the queen of some underground girl fight club in New Orleans, she’s also a muff diver now!
In this post-Russell Edgington world, Nan is trying to enlist Pam and Eric to do vamp PSA’s in order to give vampires a better name. Across town, Beel (who’s looking better for once) is also on a smooth-talking PR campaign of his own.
Jason has been upholding his promise to Crystal and looking after the people (inbred yokels) of Hot Shot – much to the detriment of his personal safety. Elsewhere, Lala accompanies Jesus to a coven meeting, where the freaky old lady in charge manages to harness enough witchy power to bring her dead parakeet back to life for 30 seconds. Naturally, there’s a mole in the coven, and she’s reporting directly to the new vampire king… BEEL!
Sookeh’s working with a cute lawyer chick who’s smitten with Beel in order to get her house back, after Jason sold it to some mysterious corporation in the Caymen Islands called AIK. In the final scene, Eric sneaks up on a naked Sookeh and reveals that HE is AIK! And he wants more than just Sookeh’s house. He wants HER!! So many juicy twists and turns already! Stay tuned for the full recap!!

If you like it, spread it!:

I’m glad this is being recapped, because I don’t have HBO…and I don’t REALLY like downloading things illegally…so I’m going to rely on the recaps to keep me up to speed!
