Please Constantine, We Dare You

American Idol

By admin | | 10:10 am | 49 Comments

This morning, I learned of a couple of disturbing facts thanks to reader JA. First of all, there is a Constantine Maroulis Blog run by a fairly obsessed fan who makes it their life to share with us tidbits about Constantine and his career. You may have thought that Constantine would be doing American Idol tribute tours for the rest of his life, but he has been a busy man. Besides the Idol tour, Constantine is also going to be singing on a Queen Tribute Album, where he’ll forever ruin Bohemian Rhapsody, even for those of us who grew up on Wayne’s World.

As bad as that sounds, the Maroulis Blog also says that Constantine will star in a sitcom produced by Kelsey Grammar’s company. What in the hell is that? I mean, I know sitcoms are going through a rough patch, but Constantine? Are you kidding me? Now, since it is a fanboy blog, this rumor may not be true, and perhaps they think Constantine making a guest appearance in one episode counts as being a “star” of a sitcom. But either way, we hope that Constantine does television – in fact we encourage it. It’s easy making fun of Constantine, and we love to do it.

It’s your move Maroulis!

As much as it pains me to say it… He doesn’t sound too bad on the CD.
You can hear it on this page…

There’s also a video, so you can see the Tool in action.

Its such an unfortunate incident where the one person who garners the most attention during this saga of “American Idol” and its tour; can be one of the most rudest and shadiest beings in the mix.

And yes, I do have personal knowledge of this.

Such is the “glimmering” fascade he emits though; in persuading his legions to follow. *sighs* I’m glad I was never a fan to then be broken hearted by his actions.

I went to the Idol concert the other night in Minneapolis (yes I am a nerd) and it was amazing how many seemingly normal, sane women screamed and panted when he came out. He made me want to puke…he flashed some nipple twice…I do not want to see this nipple on national TV…Constantine go away please

I am not fairly obsessed, I am the #1 fan. Let’s keep that straight, k? *grins*

May I recommend you listen to the CD before you accuse him of ruining BoRhap? I figure if Brian May liked it, then you should to. *spank, spank*

The TV Show is mentioned in the 8/8 People Magazine.

As for Constantine and his fan base…

    go here.

It’s not a sitcom. It’s a one-hour comedy/drama that is being done by Kelsey Grammar’s production company and Paramount. Constantine will star. They are working on it for a mid-season replacement.

    Have a pleasant day!

Huh? May I suggest you crawl back under the rock from wenst you came? You may come out when Con is a huge star and EAT every last word of this garbage.

You might want to check your facts before you claim that “this rumor may not be true”. Oh, and take a listen to Bohemian Rhapsody… even my hippy-music-loving dad loved it.

You people who find it necessary to bash Constantine must lead extremely boring lives. Spending time talking about him when you are not fans shows how pathetic your lives must be. That’s okay every one is talking about him and whether you love him or hate him he creates such passion. Why you may ask is because he is a star. Me thinks you all have secret love for Constantine. It’s okay to come out of the closet and embrace the greatness of Constantine.

Anyone who goes to an AI tour show knows that Constantine gets the loudest screams of all the idols. Women love him… (women with disposable incomes by the way) Women can’t wait to see him in a solo concert, or buy his CD’s or buy any products he endorses. He is going to be a very rich man very soon because of the passion this man generates. I am telling you women of all ages love this man…and I mean LOVE

Yes!!!! Constantine on my TV again. He was taken away way too soon. For those who can’t stand him, guess what? Yes, you know what I’m going to say — you don’t have to watch. Also,
I don’t understand having such intense feelings towards someone you don’t even know. You know, there’s a thin line between love and hate.

It pains me to read such a holes on this forum.

Constantine is a great guy and extremely talented. He does an awesome job with Bohemian Rhaspody and he will do well in his TV show…he will be in the industry a long time, you Scott fans will not…

Why don’t some of you learn to be positive in the world for a change, instead of so dam hateful.

most of the people bashing Constantine are about ten years old and not worth the time.

Constantine has a mature group of fans and most of them are pretty intelligent.

The people who bash him are losers…are filled with nothing but jealousy and hate…

    To Constantine fans,

Thanks for showing me the light. The more people make fun of him, the more you come to his defense. The more people come to his defense, the more I laugh. The more I laugh, the more I want to make fun of Constantine!

    It’s a wonderfully vicious cycle.

Wow. Love LOVE…LOVE!!! it when people who supposedly can’t stand CM take the time to

    a. think about him
    b. then write about him

Yeah. When people protest this much, I gotta know there’s something else going on. Admit you’ve fallen under the Greco Mojo and get it overwith. It’s OK. We won’t judge. CM fans are humble like that.

If you don’t like Constantine , then why don’t you just not pay any attention to what him. If you don’t like him then why are you making posts about him? If he’s making a show ::gasp:: don’t watch it. How hard of logic is that? Please, its a thing called maturity. You might want to look it up. Have a nice day. :D

Hiya, J-Unit. Mr. Maroulis may surprise you yet. I hadn’t paid any attention to him until my cousin, an Oscar-winner who helped give Johnny Depp’s career a jumpstart, told me about him. I was told Maroulis is quite talented in many areas, extremely charismatic, and a real good guy too. My cuz says this guy is destined for stardom, and his judgement has proven itself time and time again. I’ve never watched American Idol that I recall, so I’d never seen Maroulis. After hearing his name all over Hollywood, I did get interested.

I decided to take in one of the American Idol tour shows back East just to see what the fuss was about. Certainly not everyone will agree about anything or anyone. But, I will say that Maroulis brought the house down. I’m following his career with great interest now. The man is quite awesome to watch. There were a couple of numbers at the end of the show where all the performers sang together. Maroulis had such presence that it was difficult to pay attention to any of the other performers who shared the stage with him. I’d bet a large sum of money we’re going to be seeing a lot more of this guy for a long time to come. If you get good laughs out of him, there’s a lot of fun in your future.

This man is a major talent. Many people — including those with influence in the entertainment community — recognize this and are happily riding the love train.

There are FAR more reports of his kindness and accommodation of fans that the occasional “he-was-rude-and-I’m- glad-I-was-never-a-fan” reports. I’m sure he would have NEVER suspected such people were not fans.

Hee hee. Any publicity is good publicity, folks. I know some of you all don’t like Constantine, and that’s OK. It’s a free country. But you know, every time anybody sets up a column about him, even just to diss him – you end up publicizing him, and he gets more attention.

So thanks for all your help!

A little more info about the television show: it’s being set up as a mid-season replacement, and yes, Constantine will be a regular member of the cast. Do a google news search. Legitimate sources have been talking about it for a week.

But, alas, those days are gone! Check out the tribute album (Joss Stone is also on it, yay!). You’ll soon realize Constantine is here to stay – nothing you can do but lay back and enjoy it, baby!

Oh, and is Marmite like Vegimite? Because that? is not so good, lol.

OK, first of all, if you don’t like Constantine, don’t waste your time talking about how ‘horrible’ he is. Second of all, to the person who said she doesn’t want to see Constantine when you turn on the TV: don’t watch the show. Third of all: for every hater out there, there are 5 fans. So yeah, you will always be outnumbered.

You know, you haters keep saying that ‘oh, he can’t sing’ or ‘he is SO ugly.’ You know what? I bet he can sing better then all of you put together. I bet he’s nicer to look at then you guys. You’re all just jealous. *rolls eyes*

BTW, the Queen CD is coming out today, and practically everyone I know has already gotten their CD already(I’m getting mine later today). Oh, yeah, nobody likes constantine at all! *rolls eyes*

Thank you, have a nice day.

But it’s all beautiful. And I am sure J-Unit loves the hits here, right J?

Do you people have nothing better to do with your lives than make fun of people. You should just resign yourself to the fact that Constantine isn’t going anywhere and that he happens to have more fans than people that hate him (as evident by the comments). Give it up. He won’t go away, his fans will always defend him. I have an idea, how about you go away?

    1. Constantine has clearly stated that his show will not be a sitcom. So get your facts straight before going live and looking like utter morons.

    2. Constantine has said himself that he’s making a sitcom and its been in People magazine. Once again, F A C T S, what dont you understand about that word?

    3. The majority of people LOVE Cons rendition of BH. And Im not talking about Con Fans, but the Queen fans that have reviewed the cd on various websites. So it looks like you’re in the wrong/minority. Thats ok.

    4. Real smart. Go ahead and send MORE HITS and more publicity to that girls sites :rolls eyes:. Man, I think I should start one so half of the five people who read this site can check it out.

    5. Thanks for plugging and promoting Con as well!

    6. Of course you make fun of Con…because you’re intimidated that his career is going places and you’re still stuck behind a computer. Yeah, you really have the upper hand here.

My daughter and I said “hi” to him after the AI concert and he looked at us and it was that same skeezy, leering look he has on TV. I think it’s just built in and there’s nothing he can do about it. Although I felt the urge to back up my 8 year old girl a few feet.

I don’t know how he’s going to do a fictional TV show where he’s not making eyes at the camera. I don’t know if he’s capable!
