   I’m from SC, and I am positive that would not be allowed anywhere around here, since even the public schools have strict, conservative dress codes. But I can’t speak for the Alabama/Miss.

    That doesn’t really look like her… And being from the south and close to her age I know for a fact that can’t be a prom dress she wore to school. Most schools won’t even let girls wear tanktops with thin straps let alone a dress like that.

    I am tired of the MS/AL hate. I grew up in both states and I can promise you would (a) never be allowed to wear it and (b) unpopular for the rest of your life if you showed up at prom wearing that. Do you think “southern belles” would ever wear something that tacky. Gross.

    #12, I apologize. I should not have tried to push the stereotype over to AL/MS. It looks like a bathing suit top with a beach wrap around the bottom. It looks more trashy pool party than prom. As mentioned above, it looks more like a dress you could get away with in CA, re:Casey from LB

    umm, NC was in the confederacy, thus is in the south for purposes of modern american history.

    Let’s stop the sterotypical South-hating. I’m from the deep South, and none of the girls I went to high school with would have been caught dead in something like that (however, I did go to a private Episcopalian school, but I digress). Whores are Whores, no matter what the geographical location. She could just as well be from Jersey, or California, or freaking Utah for God’s sake.

    on the one hand, kellie invites a certain amount of ‘south-bashing’ by overplaying the jessica simpson/’beverly hillbillies’ act. on the other hand, i’m from virginia–the capital of the confederacy, and the state where more blood was shed in the war of northern aggression than all other states combined–and all my friends from georgia, alabama, louisiana, etc. tell me i’m from ‘the north.’

    civil war history has nothing to do with tacky prom dresses. white trash is the same from boston to the bayou.

    Tacky as the outfit is, I believe that is just the shadow of her natural belly curve. And no I am not say she has a pot belly. Women have a natural curve right there that modern society has deemed must go in favor of the flat abdomen of starvation. So women spend a great deal of time, energy, and plastic surgery to get rid of what is perfectly natural. Sorry- didn’t mean to turn that into a rant. Just pointing out that it’s not her bush.

    I don’t know if it’s her prom dress b/c I don’t know any school that would allow that. Maybe it’s a dress she wore to one of her pageant things.
    Either way… girl is fake as hell (her personality) and I can’t wait for her to leave.

    I agree it’s a ridiculous choice for a Prom dress (and probably isn’t one), but honestly, does showing a lot of skin make you a whore? Does it??

    I don’t hate the South and didn’t mean to South Bash, just Kellie bash. She’s an embarassment to any state, North, South, East or West!

    You have to agree, she does set back lovely, smart, tasteful southern ladies back a few years.

    Jash, yes, NC was part of the Confederacy for the purposes of American History, but that doesn’t make it DEEP south. That’s part of geography, not history (Though history also shows that NC was the last state to secede, had close to the fewest number of slaves and really only seceded because every state around it had already done so and it would have been idiotic to not secede under those circumstances).
